Trail Armour started in a Scenic Rim kitchen out of pure frustration.
As an endurance rider, I spent years dealing with cracked, windburned lips after long training sessions. I tried every lip balm on the market—luxury brands, outdoor sports products, even veterinary formulations meant for horses. Nothing worked for more than an hour or two.
The breaking point came after a particularly brutal ride where I went through four different lip balms and still ended the day with painful lips that lasted for weeks! I realized the problem: traditional lip balms just moisturize. They don't actually protect.
THE SEARCH FOR REAL PROTECTION
I started researching cosmetic formulation, studying film-forming technologies used in professional skincare, and teaching myself ingredient chemistry. What if I could create a lip balm that didn't just moisturize, but actually formed a protective barrier against wind?
After hours and hours of research and dozens of test formulas, I developed Trail Armour PROTECT—a formula using film-forming technology combined with 21 premium oils, waxes, and active ingredients that create an invisible shield against windburn.
TESTED BY THE BEST
Before launching, I needed to know if it actually worked for endurance athletes—not just me. I recruited 40 beta testers including:
• FEI Endurance Riders competing at national and international levels
• 3 Australian Gaucho Derby Competitors
• State Champions across multiple disciplines
• Multi-sport endurance athletes from various backgrounds
• Athletes from Queensland to Victoria to Tasmania to Western Australia, covering diverse terrain and conditions
They tested Trail Armour during training sessions across diverse Australian conditions—from coastal ocean winds to mountain extremes, desert heat to rainforest humidity. Real athletes, real conditions, real results.
THE EARLY RESULTS
