How To Use
How to use your Trail Armour
Hi. I’m Alana — the one
who made every product in your order, one batch at a time.
Here’s exactly how to use what
you bought, so you get the most out of it. Save this page. Screenshot it. Send
it to whoever gave you the confused look when they saw your new lip balm
collection.
Long-wear lip balm
PROTECT
What it does: Forms a barrier on your lips that lasts up to 8 hours — with most customers telling us it lasts even longer. Wind, sun, cold, salt water, dust, sweat — most things life throws at you.
When to use it: First thing in the morning, before whatever you’re doing that day. Reapply when you remember (you won’t need to often).
How to apply: Twist the base, run it across your lips like a regular balm. One or two passes is plenty. Feels slightly thicker than a normal balm — that’s the film former doing its job. Settles in about 30 seconds and after 60 minutes or so, you won't feel it but it's still working!
Pro tip: Apply BEFORE the wind, sun or salt water hits, not after. PROTECT is a barrier, not a repair.
Overnight lip renewal
RESTORE
What it does: Rich overnight treatment that repairs and rehydrates while you sleep. For cracked, sore, or really dry lips.
When to use it: Last thing before bed. Every night if your lips are damaged, or once or twice a week as maintenance.
How to apply: Pea-sized scoop with a clean finger — plenty for both lips. Spread generously across the lips. Don’t rub it in like face cream — leave it sitting on the surface so it can work overnight.
What to expect: Wake up with noticeably softer, less sore lips. Really damaged lips? Give it 3–5 nights and you’ll see proper change.
Pro tip: Pair RESTORE at night with PROTECT in the morning. That combination is what most customers describe as the game-changer.
Hydrating lip serum
QUENCH
What it does: Lightweight hydration for through the day. Refreshes without the barrier weight of PROTECT.
When to use it: Through the day for top-ups when lips feel a bit dry. Or as your everyday balm when conditions are mild.
How to apply: Roll the ball gently across your lips, two or three swipes. Don’t press hard — the rollerball does the work.
What to expect: Light, fresh, slightly cooling feel. Less "I have something on my lips" than PROTECT — more like a hydration hit.
Pro tip: Lives well in a handbag, glovebox or trail vest. No fingers needed = clean on the go.
Refreshing lip exfoliant
BUFF
What it does: Gently exfoliates dry, flaky skin off your lips so the other products work better. Jojoba beads and coconut shell with a light peppermint tingle.
When to use it: Once or twice a week. Best used before applying RESTORE at night — exfoliate first, then treat.
How to apply: Small scoop on your finger, massage gently across lips in small circles for 20–30 seconds. Wipe off with a tissue or damp cloth.
What to expect: Lips feel smoother, slightly tingly from the peppermint, any flaky bits are gone.
Pro tip: Don’t use it daily. Twice a week is plenty. Over-exfoliating makes dryness worse, not better.
