Trail Armour PROTECT
A daytime barrier balm. It forms a breathable film on your lips that holds for up to 8 hours, rather than a wax coating that wears off in twenty minutes.
Find your batch number first
Your batch number is printed on your tube. We have improved the PROTECT formula twice since launch, so there are three ingredient lists below. Find the one that covers your batch number and read that list.
- Batch 88 or higher — read the first list (current formula)
- Batch 46 to 87 — read the second list
- Batch 1 to 45 — read the third list
If you have more than one tube, check each one. Tubes bought at different times can be from different batches.
Directions for use
Apply generously to lips before any outdoor activity. One layer over clean, dry lips is plenty. Let it set for 5 to 10 minutes before eating or drinking. For best results, exfoliate first with Trail Armour BUFF, then layer PROTECT over Trail Armour QUENCH for hydration and barrier protection together.

All three PROTECT flavours contain the vanilla flavour oil. It is not there to make PROTECT taste of vanilla — it is there to neutralise the natural earthy smell of the oils, waxes and butters. In Original that is all you get: almost no scent at all. Peppermint and Citrus Burst have their own flavour added on top of it.
